About Us

RAO Manufacturing Company was founded in downtown Minneapolis in 1927. Today, RAO is a trusted supplier of deep draw forming, metal stampings, sheet metal fabrications, welded assemblies, tank heads, and mechanical assemblies to customers worldwide.

Since 1975, our primary facility has been located in Fridley, Minnesota, just north of Minneapolis. In 2012, we expanded to a second location in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, increasing our manufacturing capacity and expanding our mechanical assembly capabilities.

Our components can be found across a wide range of products and industries, including air compressor tanks, cryogenic tanks, water tanks, filter housings, paint sprayers, fireplaces, electronic enclosures, appliances, floor-cleaning equipment, small engines and generators, and more.

Today, our team of approximately 250 employees brings experience and expertise across manufacturing, engineering, tooling, quality, and assembly. Our in-house tool room allows us to design, build, and maintain tooling, while our two-shift operation provides the flexibility to respond to changing production demands and customer needs.
